Sole remaining bike making funny noises today, and seeming to shimmy very slightly under braking.
At mid-point, sat for a break and noticed the seat tube is split down to the top tube, in front of the seat post. I'm pretty sure I'll find some more problems with closer inspection.
Oh well, it was free, and gave me six years, can't complain really.

On the up-side the world's now your oyster re. a replacement; what are your plans - another full bike? Donor frame and swap the bits?

Seems to be a lot of well-priced used stuff about; especially-so if you're prepared to bide your time (which granted you might not since you now have nowt to ride!).
