Janine; was a friend of an ex girlfriend.
Crispin; (Strachan) used to be the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police and I once had a meeting with him whilst serving as one of his troops.
Giles; worked with a Giles - sort of. It was a shortened version of his surname, Gillespie.
Jake; Jakes are quite common in Scotland as it is a form of Jack/John.

Yep; went to school with Gus Conejo. Of Costa Rican origins I think. Again, "Gus" is quite common here in Scotland, as the abbreviated version of Angus.
