There was an actress in The Lady Vanishes on the beeb last night called Tuppence. I rather like that!
I worked with a lady called tuppence moore, and one of my mums friends is called penny wise.

Giles was the strange kid at school who sat in the middle of the netball court and sucked his thumb.
Janine - is the daughter of the minster at the church where I was christened many years ago. (I haven't seen her for years but she is still in contact with my aunt).
Crispin - I think I have come across one but he shortened it to Cris.
Lucinda - was the name of a teacher at my children's primary school.
Bunty - no - apart from the magazine?
Jake - loads of them too many to count!

went to school with a janine. 'Stenders got the character right.
worked with a Giles- upper middleclass guy very well spoken but a bit dim
working with a Jake- good junior engineer
grew up with a guy called Crispian who was a few yrs younger and a gobby runt.
