Anyone ridden it from London to the NW?

How complete is it?

What would it be like to ride fully loaded with panniers?

I know I could look on the Sustrans site, but I'm always a bit wary of their info on how complete something is - sometimes some bits are I know somewhat provisional.

Also, knowing their somewhat barmy route to Brighton from London (I'm referring to the bit near London and the Downs) I'm particularly interested in the loaded implications.

Anyone ridden it?

Hi, I am new here and have only recently returned back to cycling(pleasure), I live close to NCN 6 in Leicestershire/Derbyshire and have ridden from Loughborough to Derby and can confirm that it's a nice route through. It takes in 'Cloud Trail' from Worthington to Swarkstone and only crosses about 5 roads before you're in Derby city centre. I have yet to do further since I cycle on my own(I am new to it all).

I will hopefully ride a bit further south during my lunch breaks at work since I will take my bike with me in my works van for riding new areas. ^_^
