I'm sure every regular city cyclist will be aware of the fact that we hold up traffic; cause motorists to slow down; and are generally responsible for any congestion on Britain's roads.

So we're considering the launch of a new National Take Your Car To Work Day, and we need your help and ideas. Basically we want everyone who can, who normally cycles to work, or school, or the shops, or wherever, to ditch the bike for a day and hop in the car - complete with an I'd Normally Be On A Bike sticker in the back window.
If 9 cyclists take up the space of one car, then 9 cars in many places can add up to an extra run through the traffic light sequence, and multiply that by 30, 40, 50 cyclists... A point can be made quite graphically with the right coverage, and the right publicity.
