As above. I have a commute to East Mids Airport from Tutbury. The above, albeit short, looks appealing, to miss out the narrow main road between the two places above.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Never knew you were that close

Looking at the route im guessing that ncn 6 is about the best way , swarkestone bridge is not fun in a car let alone on a bike if your doing it at normal commuting times.

Swarkestone Bridge is my road of choice most days. If its busy (only ever in the evening do I get held up) vehicles don't top 15 mph so it's easy to sit in, when it's quiet it's a nice stretch to put an effort in over.
Never used the NCN6 so can't offer an opinion on that. Out of interest which road have you eyed up to go from Swarkestone to Tutbury?

A5132. Can't see an alternative?
I guess I was thinking from Kings Newton you could go Stanton By Bridge, Ingleby, Formarke, Milton, Repton, Willington etc, but it's much more fun blasting along the 5132. Not going to a coffee factory in Tutbury at all are you?

Riding the opposite way into East Mids airport. Then a long commute home (80 miles:whistle:)
