Today at about 16:00hrs on the Glensburgh Road(A905) out of Grangemouth Old Town towards Skinflats(Village) and the Bellsdyke Road.
This is just a warning to all other cyclists who use this road(and there are many) to be careful. I was overtaken by a large tractor that never even attempted to move out - and infact was so close he brushed my arm. Now to be honest most of the motorists on these roads are reasonably considerate and incidents few and far between.
I wouldn't have bothered writing this - if when I past said driver unloading fertiliser in his field he didn't outstretch his arms and do a "what is it jesture" when I looked at him. So he'd actually seen me
. Five years ago I would have stopped my bike - jumped into the field - well you know the rest

. I can't have a criminal record is all I'm saying.
This is a busy road at the best of times and I never ride it without Hi-viz vest / flashing lights(front and rear) because of the shadowing caused by the bushes / tree's. The many side roads and farm entrances make it particularilly hazardous.
There is, at this time of year a considerable amount of farm traffic on the roads - the vast majority of it driven well / cautiously I might add.
But beware of this idiot as he's obviously out to prove something!!!!!
Safe Cycling.
