Well my Barracuda has decided its had enough, the Pedal crank arm (?) on the gear hub side snapped in 2 and its one of the ones where is molded in to front gear hub , Now Im in the process of looking for 2nd hand bike to commute with. My commute is road and towpaths so I guess front suspension isn't that important so looking for some that would handle that on daily based, I have £100 to spend any recommendations ?

Can't the parts be replaced at all?

Ahk - yes I was a little confused as to what you meant re hub gearing round the front mech as hub gears would be around the rear of the drivetrain.

Replacing the chainset is easy to do - just get a crank extractor tool - lift the chainset out by turning the tool and put in a new one and grease up the spindles - buy one that's compatible with the bottom bracket though!!

Much, much cheaper than a whole new bike especially if there's nothing wrong with the rest of your bike...though don't let us stop you!

Well got me bargin GT Aggressor XC3, cost me 90 of the queens finest. Needs need new pads for the rear disc brake and the Front fork lock out doesn't work but I guess it wont take much to sort out, still a bargain well chuffed
