Hi all,
i have bought this bicycle cheaply but the badge is missing so i can't find anything about it.
Previous owner wasn't much of a help, he bought it in the early 80s and says everything is original.
Only "Continental" from Germany that i could fins is a tyre manufacturer.

Any help is appreciated.[/ATTACH]

Thought it might be a Puch but doesn't fit with the square head badge. Nothing on Continental either. A real mystery, hopefully somebody will have some a better idea. Interesting bike.

Strangely I was going to say Puch, it's the dropouts that made me think that, the way the tubes are flattened over the dropouts....

Had the same idea (mainly of Sachs Huret commander) but Puch always had the roung badge and didn't find Puch Continental anywhere...

It's an interesting original condition bike.Cracking nick and nice lining on the lungs.Where the head badge was it looks like a "h" but could be a mark in the adhesive.
I await responses eagerly for this.I like detective work.

There is a schwinn on Google images similar. But the head badge design doesn't tally with the shape of where yours was
Only schwinn had continental model that i could find. But is it possible that it has all the german components( saddle, tyres, light...)

Schwinn made a bike called Continental in the 1980's . Maybe worth researching !

Hi! I was going to suggest Puch as well. It has certain similarities as midlife said.
You might be able to narrow down the year of manufacture by looking for the date stamp on the backs of the brake calipers.
The wheels and tyres look vey similar to those which are fitted to my Puch. Does it have an air brake rear brake mounting fitted to the rear stays instead of a small tube ?

Steyr, Austro, Daimler, Puch plus others did some badge engineering BITD. Does it have a flat plate where the rear brake bolts on?
Yes iz does. Please see photos
