Would it be more cost effective to buy waterproof arm/leg warmers than non waterproof ones?
I've seen that you can wear a buff to cover your head/ears and neck, so think I'll just buy one instead of buying a skullcap etc as well.

I wouldn't bother, Lycra dries quickly. If you think it'll be wet, get a light waterproof (although cheap often sweaty)
