OK.....a week today i will be on a one way flight to san francisco. I worked abroad a lot in my life, but always with a return ticket.

This weekend if going to be pull of packing before the relocation people come on Tuesday, then a few (probably emotional) days at my folks house before me, 2 suitcases and Annalisa (my lovely scott) head over to the pacific coast.

I'm praying for good weather on Sunday, if i don't end up hungover, then im hoping some CC'ers will be on the Sunday London ride.

I really don't know what will happen with CC and I. I'm sure i'll still be on, but 5pm for you guys will now become 9am for me, so expect random replies at ungodly hours.

You'll all be missed, but i'm going to champion CC stateside....especially with pretty californian blondes

Develop a punctuation irregularity - it works for Mr Oates

Best of luck with it Tollers, it sounds like a great move to make.

Do you know where you're stopping yet?
Is there a garden for tents?

Go for it Mark!
The best of all possible things in the world to you - Carpe Diem...although it might be Crap e Dime by the time you unpack.

Your first task, should you chose to accept it. (Peter Graves tribute there) is to replicate the photo of 'Davywalnuts and the Cheerleaders'!
Of course, the 'cyclist' can be different (gawd 'elp you guvnor if it's the same) - and also the cheerleading team...but capture the pose and essence please.(and the phone Nos: of the cheerists etc..) ;)
It will remind you of your first encounter with trouble, as you sheltered from the rain at a gloomy Euston, early that morning.
A fine day to carry with you. Good luck!

Good luck and enjoy. What's to be nervous about, you're doing something that thousands of people would love to do but never have the drive to do it. Then if after a while it turns out not to be all you hoped it to be then pick something else to do. A cliche obviously but you only get one go at life, and you're not going to be lying on your death bed thinking 'I wish I'd watched more Eastenders'.
