Rainy weather is always good for encouraging thoughts of future tours in better weather!

I really like cycling in the Netherlands. I've done London to Amsterdam a couple of times (coming back via Rotterdam), and did the North Sea route up through the Netherlands and on up into Denmark, and am now aiming to come up with a plan for next year. I prefer tours with a specific destination in mind, rather than cycling aimlessly, but a circular route could work fine. Aiming for 500-600 miles.

Any thoughts?

yup-I like cycling in the Netherlands as well - relatively flat - good cycle infrastructure - however ive never actually done a tour there - cycled to places through it and back from places through it but I have never considered it as a destination for a tour - why? because with the rest of Europe available on the doorstep - In particular when compared with France - its is relatively uninteresting - I can understand that as a way of getting into touring that the Netherlands would seem to be ideal - however you get more bangs for your bucks the further south (unless of course you can get to Norway) and to some extent west you go - If you need flat then down the Rhine to Basle and train it back or if thats not practical with the trike then a circular tour of Brittany out of one of the western ports or Caen.

The Rhine is also on the agenda, but I'm a huge fan of the Netherlands, not just for cycling but for the people.

Tick these boxes?

Google spits out just over 650miles for a direct route, so I guess would end up a bit more with wandering. Bit of potential for border criss-crossing and island hopping too.

Brilliant, thanks. Rather further than I'll have time for, but I'm sure something can be improvised along those lines.
