Very nice bike. Does the rear bottle come out easily?

It's a bit tight, I'll have to move it a bit lower when I fit the pump bracket.

I test rode a new bike at the weekend and put a deposit down to hold it until my insurance check comes in. I went with a Sublime Zoku in the end. Sublime is a custom make company local to the Bristol area, and they had a Zoku that someone had custom built, and decided they didn't want in my size, at a reduced price. Carbon, full 105 groupset, RS10 wheels, and vittoria tyres. I'll be swapping out the tyres to something a bit better (conti gp4000s ii or gatorskins most likely).

If you'd described that colour scheme to me I'd have thought "yeuch", but actually seeing it I think it looks really good :okay:

I'm just itching to get my hands on it again. I hope my insurance check comes in before the Great Weston Ride in 12 days, as I would love to have it for that. It's definitely a bike that will not be going into town, however. Just club runs, social rides, fair weather commuting, and sportives. My wife doesn't understand why it costs £1100, however.

Insurance check arrived. I'll be picking up Rufus (I name my bikes) tomorrow morning. I'll probably do a 25 mile spin on it tomorrow and take it out for my normal 40 miles Saturday morning. I'll hopefully clock up enough miles on it next week to take it out for my first century (imperial) on the 16th.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...

Side cages - side entry bottle cages solve the problem. I use them on all my bikes - all small frames as I'm shrunken to 5'5". Lezyne sell nice ones (handed) but I've recently changed to carbon ones from China - around £15 a pair (!) posted
