Hi,

I have recently got into cycling and purchased a Specialized Allez E5. I have noticed that the chain is slipping on the cassette if it is on the 3rd largest cog.

It does this when I am using the big and small chainring but only on that rear cog. It will slip in and out from 3rd largest to 4th largest and then back again constantly. If I change to any other gear everything is fine.

Can I fix this myself and if so how please?

Thanks

Sounds like gears are not quite set right. You could sort it yourself but it's fiddly. If shop bought they may do it for you.

As above take back to shop, they should sort with no question. This is assumes it's a new bike and not a new to you second hand bike which could have drivetrain wear
