I think if I had a shiny new bike to try out I'd be taking the pedals off another bike.

I'm the King of delayed gratification.

Might do that anyway.

Wedding anniversary today. Might get it together, but limited chances of a big ride.

Hand forced by a derailleur failure yesterday on my old bike (it's in pieces).

Pedals borrowed from the failed bike.

hard to tell inside the bag, unneeded "something" hopefully

given cassette came on the hub and headset / fork installed, its difficult to see what they could be, look vaguely spacer ish.

Even though its done up quite loose, some wag will be along soon, telling you you've crushed your top tube by not clamping the seat post instead!

How does it ride?

I'll tell you later. It's a bit wet out there and I don't want to get it dirty, but have to pick my son up from football club this afternoon.
