Hi Mikeyman,

I'm from between those two fine towns
(and then south a bit)

But i'm a hybrid rider, rather than a 'proper' roadie

Plus a bit of a solitary cyclist.. It's probs best for everyone that way.

I have seen quite a few groups out together though, and I believe there's a community of riders that spring from around 'Ride On' at the Quay in Exeter, and then there's Exeter Wheelers, who are an old established club.

Sure there's other mobs too if you ask around. 'Cycle Honiton' lbs are friendly sorts.

In the meantime, I'll give you a cheery wave, if I see you out in the lanes

Thanks for the reply Ian I'm new to cycling got my bike about 2 weeks ago I am gradually building up my pace & distance, when time permits. I was going to join but thought I would get a bit more experience first. I also live in Honiton.
Any advice? Thank you.

Which is the 'best' cafe then ..? I might have to make it a destination..

I like the Strand in Culmstock and the village shop/cafe in Churchinford. Very different but both great.

Do you have any recommendations?
