I got into riding a couple of years ago , got an oldish GT MTB, stripped it , powder coat virtually all new everything, love riding it , but a bit to slow away from the tracks , so I shopped around for almost a year and finally yesterday got a new Surley Cross Check, one modification got a granny ring fitted , had a blast along the A316 cycle path last night , what a difference , it flew ! But it felt so bumpy after the the full sus GT ! , even with its fatty style tyres , anyway got some big plans ahead for rides , hope fully doing the Friday night ride next week with members of Cyclechat , also some Gulf War Veterans rides , and a London to Manchester along the Canals holiday next spring/summer, I got a Surley because of its carrying capabilities, sort of pack horse ! Which no doubt I will be with Ms ozboz tagging along !
