New cassette / new chain - power links?

OK - with the London 100 looming and with the amount of training I've been putting in - I reckon it's time to change the chain I'm using and put on a cassette with a "granny gear" (jic!).

Am aiming to switch out my current 11-25 5700 105 cassette with an 11-28 version (double not triple). Have been looking at the Shimano 5701 10 speed chain - but have read reviews saying they're a little "rubbish" and that they're not compatible with certain brands of power link (which I'll also be carrying).

Does anyone have any recommendations for alternative chain/link combos? Or are the reviews I've read a load of cobblers?

Any particular one? Is the X10.93 OK?

Any KMC 10 speed chain will do you.
Over the years I have found them to far outlast Shimano chains.

I run the X10 Silver ones myself.
