New European Cycling Website

Between 2011 and 2013, I cycled 22,000 miles (35,500 km) around 53 countries of Europe. I've put together a site (www.UniCycle50.com) about what I learnt in the hope that it is useful for others in future. But, more importantly, I could do with your input. If you have an opinion about a particular country or route, good or bad, or a blog that contains that information, please let me know about it and I will try to absorb your information into what I have written (even, or especially, if it says the opposite of what I've written) so that the site is not just limited to what I think. That'd be wonderful.

Thank you. I'm happy to add other countries if you can supply the information, especially those closest to Europe, like north Africa and central Asia.

Re route planning, the structure of the trip was to go from capital to capital. I saw 52 in all, and so that dictated the route with a few diversions to see friends or OU students along the way (I was studing with the OU as I cycled). As a result, I sometimes didn't cycle through the most beautiful region of a country - directly east from Amsterdam to Berlin was a bit flat and dull, scenery-wise at least - but that just gives me the opportunity to do a future ride where I re-visit the same countries but take in the best bits rather than the capitals.

I have just finished your book. It has kept me entertained for the last few days on my long commute to work. Twice i have had complete strangers who have happened to sit next to me on the train ask what i was chuckling at.

I'm embarking on a much shorter 4 week tour in Europe next summer with @hopless500 and i hope we get to meet half the interesting people that you did.

All i can say is keep writing, it was excellent , well done.
