Though a Mac owner since 1995 (I currently have three), absolutely no interest in buying an iPhone. Purely on price though- I wouldn't buy AN Other phone for that money either. First smartphone model was an Orange San Francisco/ZTE Blade, which I still have. Actually three- broke one, got another s/h, was keeping that as a spare phone/media/net device when I broke the SIM slot, so I got a third. Went to a 1st get Moto G a couple of years ago. That's still a fantastic bit of kit- no operator/manufacturer rubbish apps, pretty much stock Android, it boots fast, runs everything I want it to run quickly, easily rooted, excellent 720p screen, great battery life, but 16GB of fixed storage was annoying from time to time, when it's a case of 'I want to install this but I need to delete this' (USB OTG works but not ideal). A new Moto G would have MicroSD, but only up to 32GB & I thought I'd like the entire iTunes library on it (78GB or thereabouts). Decided to Upgrade in every possible way. Got a s/h Moto X Play. 1080p screen, and excellent it is too. 16GB of internal storage and up to 128GB MicroSD (which I have in it). 21MP rear camera, which is excellent. The battery life is frankly ridiculous, in the best way. It was on all day & night between Thursday lunchtime and Friday night, admittedly with lighter use- music at work and on the train, a few calls & SMS, a few photos & a few hours of web use. Still had over 70% battery even then. After a normal working day I usually have 80%-85% left (two days' life, it reckons....). And all that for £165 (new currently around £230....I look at the likes of a Galaxy S7 and think 'no, I don't need that, I don't want that, I'll never use that, why have they stuck all this rubbish on stock Android when it'll slow everything down...and HOW MUCH?'.
