Already posted one or two of these in the new members section, didnt realise there was a specific section for posting pics so here are are a few more too. Joined the forum only recently after buying a new bike a few weeks back in order to get back into cycling. Appologies if some of you have seen some of these pics already.

Cannondlae Synapse Carbon: replaced all Black cable outers with Red ones, Red anodised chainring bolts and jockey wheels, and Hope QR wheel skewers, along with KMC Gold slotted chain. Bike actually came with Shimano wheels but had a pair of Mavic Aksium ones going spare so fitted those instead. One slightly annoying aspect is that the cables touch the frame in a few places, I would imagine they would cause chafe or rubbing marks after a period of time so placed some short strips of White or Black electrical insulation tape where this occurs. Should stop any cable damage to the frame finish.

Can honestly say that so far I have enjoyed getting back on a bike.

One of my interests is Aviation, and two or three weeks ago cycled out to Hardwick, a former WWII airbase where 'planes do sometimes still fly from. This was my longest ride to date, just over 40 miles, since getting back into cycling. On the day there were a few light aircraft and a couple of P-51 Mustangs flying. (The owner regularly flys the Mustangs from there).

That is pure loveliness- I do love just the right level of pimping you've gone for- good luck keeping the bar tape that colour!

As for the frame rub you can get sheets of transparent stickers to go on the frame to save it - lots of different shapes and sizes per sheet and won't be as obvious as the strips of tape.

I hear what you are saying about the bar tape, it came as standard on the bike, and it is getting a bit grubby already must admit!! ^_^

Fantastic looking bike and all of the pictures look amazing!

I liked the overall package/spec/price of the bike etc, although there was an awful lot of Black on it to be honest! Decided to add and change a few bits and pieces, just to give it a splash of colour here and there, so it does not look quite so drab.

Lovely bike, though I prefer the tyres with the black sidewall.

I'm the opposite when it comes to sidewall colour, when I was growing up ( 'x' years ago .... ) they all had tan coloured sidewalls, to me bikes with all black sidewalls look a bit odd, although most of them seem to be that way now.

If I am honest, the same goes for ancillary equipment such as brakes, deraileurs, chainsets etc, it seems very fashionable to have items such as this in a black finish. They would look so much nicer in a polished alloy or anodized silver finish (purely from a personal perspective!).

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've an old Peugeot which has tan sidewalls, looks odd with anything else, though the tan looks daft with my black carbon fibre steed.

Likewise the silver finishing kit!

Hate the red I'm afraid, makes a nice bike look cheap IMHO

Sorry!
