I liked the first Jack Reacher book, but when Childs just started using cut and paste to write the others I got very bored with them.

He doesn't actually write them. He has a team of writers. I think he has editorial control and storyboarding.

James Patterson, Tom Clancy, Wilbur Smith, Alexander Dumas all used writers but I strand corrected, Lee Child does all of his own wordsmithing.

We recognised some of the people who worked at Granada at the time, in the descriptions of some of the characters.
