Saw this new mag in the shops today, 'dedicated to road cycling' but looked like an interesting and quality read, expensive at £5 though.

They should've included "build your own bike bit by bit", over three years.;)

That's interesting about Auto Express. Why would a Motoring magazine waste it's time discussing cycling? Perhaps the new magazine will run a similar experiment with cars.

I'll reserve judgement, but I'll need some convincing. Auto Express is a chip wrapper so the publisher doesn't have goo form, and there's no shortage of quality road bike publications out there already.

A magazine at the serious cyclist who uses their bike for transport, to run their lives, would be nice.

*** note my experience of trying to hold a phone conversation on the bike, whilst going downhill at 30mph, ended up with the phone dropped on the road and me in a ditch. Illegal it was not however

Oh yes it was - as you should know. ;)

Certainly an offence under s29 RTA 1988 (careless and inconsiderate cycling); and at that speed, possibly an offence under s28 (dangerous cycling) depending on precise circumstances. The danger under s28 is a danger 'to any person' i.e. including yourself.
