New Member - Not receiving notifications

Joined today and got a wonderful response to my first questions about chain replacement and resizing.
I went to CycleChat Preferences and checked all the right boxes to receive notifications of responses to my post but despite receiving a half dozen responses, I never received an email alert in my Mail inbox. I only found them by returning to the site.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

It's a hopefully temporary glitch in the system, I haven't been getting all my alerts either.
I have solved it by going back to the threads I'm interacting with to find out what has updated.
