WAIT!

I've only just read this thread, and seen the inevitable 'get an Android!' from Android fans who - naughty naughty - aren't actually paying attention to what the OP actually needs a phone for.

Phil - NOTHING beats Blackberry for proper email and calendar stuff. NOTHING. By a MILE. Palm comes close, but ... Palm? No.

I used to have an HTC Desire. It's a very good phone. But for proper 'professional' level organisation stuff Android starts getting rather clunky and wtf.

The new Blackberries look great. They are what you need. If you are that curious about Android, buy yourself an Android tablet as well.

Thank you for that, you may be right in what you say I sway from thinking should I get this or that or the other, I am going to think about it or a while as I can upgrade whenever I want so I think I may wait until the Blackberry 9900 comes out so I can have a look at it. I think I maybe suffering from wanting to purchase something shinney and new.

Funny you should mention the palm. When I first decided to go from using a filofax to an electronic appointments device a couple of years ago I looked around for a PDA, then I realised that they dont really exist anymore and I needed to get a phone/pda and I looked at both the Palm Pre and the Blackberry and I decided on the Blackberry.

Interesting idea you have about the tablet though I may look into that.
