New Top Speed!

By mistake I pulled out my Garmin 305 cable and had to do a reset to get my PC to recognise it. Anyway once I downloaded my route, in the last 4.15 mls my top speed was 1143.7mph ! whether that was the reset or passing through the (not so) Innocent Tunnel (I've had interference there before) I some how don't think its accurate

I came home from a route once with mate, checked my average speed and was shocked to see it read at "99.4 mph"

Oh and this was only an hours ride!!!

I don;t think you'd be able to sustain that speed for much more than an hour, so just as well you stopped.

Chap off a forum I moderate on did that sort of speed @ 100ft over the north sea frying a Tornado. Big cohones as there was no real margin for error.

The wings spurt out of the wheels as I drift thorough the clouds and reach an average speed of 299 mph after the magical hour.

Yeah so no that doesn't happen, but would be cool if it did.

Yep, that's why I'm always so pale. You hear about drugs in cycling ... I can't really get away with mine, wings on the bike can hardly be tested now can it?
