Last week I had a Hayman Reese towbar fitted to my Honda hatchback so I could avoid having to put my bikes on the roof racks.
As it's only a small car I won't be towing but it can tow up to 1000kg if need be.

This morning I picked up a Thule 972 3 bike carrier off Gumtree to throw the bikes on- I tested it with one of my taller bikes, my 1977 Raleigh Grand Prix that I converted to 3 speed and flat bars.
Looks like there's plenty of clearance so it will be good to get out there and test it.

@buzz22 just be conscious that if you have 4 bikes on the back in the future, although you can tow 1000kg you’d be limited to the nose weight which will be somewhere between 65kg and 100kg and may limit you to 2/3 bikes.

The 1000kg is based on the weight been spread across the trailer.

I wish it was 65kg, because it's a small car it's only 45kg capacity so I really do have to be careful with how it's loaded.
Most of the time it will only be one or two bikes, and there's still the option of popping another one up on the roof rack if need be.
