i've seen one guy for the past couple of years on an electric assist bike wearing a motorbike helmet

he's never going above 5mph and i just overtake him each time.

i've done the mtb and full face helmet thing after going through a cars back windscreen - it pulled out on me and emergency stopped while i was doing 20+

but then i did jump down any set of steps i could find to justify the helmet.

They are probably Scots and using the helmets to disguise the fact that they are pissed and sniffing glue.

I'm in Paris at the moment, and saw some dude cycling around in a full-face helmet last night. (looked like a downhill MTB helmet) ... he was riding an MTB though, maybe it's a new cycling trend

Might have been LA on a reccy trip!

I saw a full-face m/cycle helmet on a Brompton rider in Watford once. Can't be many of 'em around. Must be f*cking hot in there.

I played cricket once against Merv Hughes (the Australian neanderthal cricketer) in 1985. Our no. 11 'batsman' was shoot-scared and went out to bat wearing a motorbike helmet! Oh dear! It was like waving a red rag to a bull!
