Have seen rave reviews for Schwalbe ultremo zx road tyres. I have two questions:
Would the 700x23 fit on my current bike which runs 700x25?
Would there be any noticable improvement regarding rolling resistance?
Can get these in all sorts of snazzy colours too
Many thanks :hello:

Im sure they'll fit fine. Check out this site to be sure though.

I can't imagine you'll notice any difference in resistance although it probably depends on what you currently have.

They will fit ok - rave reviews of new tyres are a bit of a regular thing usually written by someone who has swapped an old pair of heavy hoofers for a lightweight modern bit of rubber which has been properly inflated.

Don't expect too much of a difference over the Lugano's - but well worth the investment IMHO.

Thanks for that.
I inspected my tyres earlier after following one of those hedge pruning tractors. Found two chunks missing in the rear just like someone had carved them out with a sharp knife :eek:Probably nothing to do with the tractor but that was the trigger to inspect them.
Since fitting mudguards for the winter i have neglected to inspect them as often as i perhaps should.
Two Shwalbe ultremo's on my shopping list it is

Luganos are good value for money tyres but they are very basic in terms of rubber compounds. A quality 'race' tyre such at the Michelin Pro4 or Continental GP4000 will make a noticable difference in rolling resistance and performance such as cornering, grip and acceleration due to the high amount to technology and engineering that goes into such tyres and the weight saving. The downsides are that they cost more, they wear out quicker and they might get more punctures.
