New vehicle import

After a year of using cars that weren't really practical for their task. I decided to go for something a little bit more suitable.

Unfortunately the manufacturer pulled their vehicle due to emission quotas from the UK.

I was fortunate timings wise with a newer model and 4 doors.

I contacted several companies for prices to get me this vehicle, but I wasnt prepared to pay those on the road prices.

I decided to go direct as I possibly could

So I sourced an auction bidding agent and last night secured my new-ish car.

I now have to wait a couple of months for it to arrive via shipping-exciting

Funnily enough I was watching a YT channel last night, he imported 4x Suzuki Jimmy's, no longer available in this country.
One significant point, he got surprised by the tax , not sure if he meant vehicle duty or import but it was £3k per vehicle.

Yes it's almost perfect for UK roads. One tiny temporary modification to indicators for IVA. Its already set up with fog lamps, headlights are already tilted correctly

I assume then the Speedo is in MPH ?

Depends where hes sourcing it from, but new dial faces or even instruments aren't onerous if it comes to that.

An aquaintance of mine has just taken delivery of a new model Toyota Landcruiser via auction from Japan. After many months wait for it to arrive and be adapted to meet UK requirements by the importer he is very happy with the car except for one thing....the verbal safety and other announcements it makes are in Japanese.
