Got overtaken this morning right before an 'S' bend in the road. I'd hung in Secondary to allow 2 cars to pass and was planning on moving to Primary to stop any further overtakes, but the car just *had* to get past regardless of my moving out, and accelerated round me and into the bend... of course he then had to brake and I ended up having to brake too to avoid hitting his rear end.

They also have no concept of “average speed”.
Witness pointless overtaking like that most days.

There is an average speed check for the road works at the beginning of the M3, end of the A316. Two really obvious sets of cameras a couple of miles apart with dozens of average speed check signs and big 30mph sighs.
I’ve had to drive this bit of road a lot recently. Huge number of drivers slow to 25mph for the cameras and then do 50mph or so between them – must be a lot of points being handed out at the moment…
