The last time I bought some wellies, there was a choice of black or black or green (if you wore a waxed coat).
I now need some new Wellington type of boots. A quick look on-line shows that there are trillions of styles.
Unfortunately, Paddington Bear wellingtons are not available in my size,
or that would be the end of matter.
I have seen what are described as snow boots. They look like a Wellie boot on the lower part, and a more flexible fabric part above the ankle to the knee. Some have a fleece lining. That sounds warm and cosy, but if it gets wet, will it will take a long time to dry out?
Can you get lightweight ones? I ask this because if I take a winter holiday in Austria, I would want to pack them.
Or would it be better to sturdy heavy ones? I would use them to walk a few miles in snowy conditions, so they need to be comfortable, oh... and price is a major consideration as well.
I think I need to add, that unlike some people, I do not have thin legs.
And yes, I have looked in Boots, but they do not sell Wellies. I know I would need to try them on with extra socks etc, so would buy them locally, but I would like to ask people's opinions. Thank you
