v. cycling.

The action a cyclist makes when bobbing up and down as they pedal (as questioned by 'craigwend junior#1', "why is mummy pecking when riding her bike?")


v. tr.

To strike with the beak or a pointed instrument.
To make (a hole, for example) by striking repeatedly with the beak or a pointed instrument.
To grasp and pick up with the beak: The bird pecked insects from the log.
Informal To kiss briefly and casually.

v. intr.

To make strokes with the beak or a pointed instrument.
To eat in small sparing bits; nibble: He pecked at his dinner.
To criticize repeatedly; carp.

n.

A stroke or light blow with the beak or a pointed instrument.
A mark or hole made by such a stroke.
Informal A light quick kiss.
 
Does Mrs Craigwend go to bed early, or do you keep your pecker up?

Binge biking...coined by a friend to describe my habit at the time of doing no mileage during the week....then going hell for leather at the weekend.

yoko: (orig. oh no) that feeling you get as the fat bloke in jeans on the mtb passes you on your roadie in full lycra ;)

choako: that feeling you get as the guy on a carrera whizzes past your colnago :ohmy:

nelson: (orig. ha-ha) opposite of a yoko, that feeling you get overtaking the lycra-clad roadie on your mtb in jeans :ohmy:

half-nelson: like a nelson only you're both roadies/mtbers in appropriate clothing but the bike you've just gone past is considerably more expensive.

ha ha, I was yoko'd yesterday a few times.

Shoulder slugs: failing to clear your upper body with projectile jet of snotters whilst in transit, producing the effect of slug trails

Desperate Dan: when, through exhaustion, it feels like your bike is a steam-roller

Ron Jeremy: a fellow cyclist who rides with his or her knees out to the side, possibly due to larger than average genitalia.

Pebble-dashed: Your appearance after going through a puddle of mud.
 
Brown moment: Something happens thats scary enough that it would be reasonable to sh*t yourself. ie. when screaming down a 40mph descent and Mr Numpty Caravan-man stalls blocking the whole road...

Whiteout: When you narrowly avoid disaster, possibly encountering a brown moment, and all the colour drains from your face.

Barfspeed: As in "I took that section at barfspeed" meaning you pushed so hard you would have been sick... if you hadn't been pushing too hard to physically do it.
