Out walking t'hound and the woods are full of 'em - puffing along in their new kit, full of Christmas pud & good intentions. Wonder how many will still be off the sofa come February....or even next w'e.
Better to try and fail than to not try at all.

You should at least try to try to try.I don't want to try to try.![]()

I think.
I take it you have never started something you did not finish.![]()
Very true. Some cyclist would also like to be able to run, but knackered knee's stop them.![]()
I think joggers like cyclists should be encouraged to wear high visibility clothing.
The other day while cycling along a road i was nearly intercepted by one of these idiots dressed in black. Ok they can see me and act accordingly, but having a black shadow approach on my blind side, then try to either dart in front of me or wait impatiently till i've passed isn't on!Besides, most joggers want to be cyclists but they're just too tight to buy a bike!
Ditto. Encouragement to all that make a start, we all went out for a first ride or run at some point. As ian says, its the same with new cyclists. Good intentions, but little stamina or willpower. A certain percentage will stick at it. Fair play to the ones that do with either sport.
Can I assume you invited him in for a cup of tea and a chat ?The Jehovah witness who has just knocked at my door would beg to disagree.
