Hi all, newb to the forum. After a long time driving the short commute to work, now looking to get healthier by doing it on bike. I will be asking advice for a new bike as currently using a short full suspension mountain bike. Looking forward to learning alot from you guys n gals.

Thanks for the welcome all.

@runner yes I agree. I have already been doing it a month on my POS bike. And it is even quicker most days than going by car.

Hi Simon - welcome to the forum and to bike commuting. I use my bike for a lot of short trips (3 - 5 miles) for transport purposes. Only the occasional leisure ride, but I find it has still improved my health and wellbeing no end. You will get hooked!

Hi and :welcome: Simon.

I hope you enjoy the cycle commute. Taking the plunge with mine was the catalyst that eventually took me from being a casual rider who thought 5 miles was a pretty decent ride, to doing 100 mile day trips for fun.
