Newbie - but cycling for a few years

Hi All,
new to this forum but have been cycling off road mtb's for a few years now also just bought a road bike and need to clock up some miles have a challenge with a few mates from work to do the ctc in a day 135 - 140 miles or so..
took train from chester to holyhead (£10 on sat morn) cycled the 93 miles back to my house in Ellesmere Port - not a bad ride (solo) got wet with rain total riding time of 5hrs 40 mins just need to squueze more in before july - working shifts doesn't help

looking for some good road routes 80 miles plus if anyone can point me in the right direction

Unfortunately I don't know any rides around your area, but I'm sure another user will. You may find BikeHike course creator useful for plotting rides.

HovR nice website that made a good route on it - over horseshoe pass and tour of cheshire - from door to door 101 miles 6hrs 16 mins - nice ride out today with sun shining
