My Crossfire is great for roads and trails, it has a nice upright position and it eats up the miles. Great bike for the money! and it hooked me into cycling for exercise. Less boring than a gym.

I now have a road bike as well and regularly ride 60 - 100 miles each week. I do still take the Crossfire out for a run, i dont like getting the new bike wet.

Welcome aboard mate. Good luck with your choice of bike. I only own one , a mtb that is ageing gracefully. All the best Mike.

Hello and welcome. Don't worry about using slick tyres on dirt tracks if the dirt is soft and loose. Your biggest problem will be narrow tyres(up to say 28c) running at high pressures, they get bogged down and you will find it impossible to pedal. If you are going to be tackling that sort of thing with any regularity get a bike with fatter tyres and run at lower pressures. Firmer surfaces will be no problem.
