Just started commuting to work on the outskirts of london (well, most way car, small way bike to start with..) and thought i should join a forum to get tips/tricks/advice etc.

you should be able to turn that around in the spring, small part in car bigger bit on bike.

Genuinely can't wait ! Not ridden a bike for over 4 years, and can't believe how much i've been missing out !

If i ride the whole way .... It starts at Uxbridge and i follow it all the way. Where do you join it?

Ahh, my commute actually ends in Uxbridge ! So technically I never join the Uxbridge road, unless I'm required to work in Hayes for the day.. in which case down Uxbridge road I go !

So your coming in from Cowley, Iver or Denham ?

Denham usually ! sometimes I'll go the canal route north of Uxbridge in the early hours and come off on the Oxford road instead
