Hi just restarted cycling 4 weeks ago and loving it. Bought a basic sirrus and was shocked its light years better that my old apollo bike. Hope the enjoyment continues.

very nice countryside just poor roads after the level crossing.

Welcome to the site and good choice on the Sirrus as I have done a good few miles on my 2008 model and will not get rid.I have done the Astley moss run and like you say it gets a bit lary after the crossings but is still doable on either my MTB,Sirrus and a Boardman fixie

It can be a bit hair raising!! My commute is across the moss to Warrington but I do go Irlam/Astley once or twice a week
