Decided to pop this in here as I am not a happy bunny......

Went to an independant consultant yesterday to have my 'injuries' reviewed for the PI claim (RTA in December last year). The consultant was pretty abrupt, and dissinterested (but he did have a queue of what looked like PI reviews to do...can't have been the most exciting afternoon).

Anyway, I very quickly described bits and bobs, and he checked out my shoulder etc.

As the examination finished, and he'd finished his notes.... "erm, would you consider surgery on your shoulder to stop the clicking ?"....

Me....."so this would stop it ?" - "Yes and it's very successful"......"Well of course" I said, "but the NHS aren't interested....."

Explained that my consultant had signed me off in July, and had said he wasn't interested in the clicking, as I had full use of my shoulder.

It also turns out that this independant consultant recommends MRI's of both my neck and shoulder - only my neck was done together with nerve tests in my arm - they came back OK.

So.... it's back to blooming square 1....... off to GP next week, I'll give her a rant  (she's good though) and try and get booked in for another MRI, and go back to the same ruddy specialist probably..... who was more intersted in sticking a needle in than doing something about it.

Stupid thing is, these 'consultants' most likely work together, and I no doubt if I went private, then the same blokes would be the ones who would be more than happy to treat the private client (the hospital consultant I saw is also a member of a big private shoulder 'clinic'), and the 'independant's offices were right next to the NHS hospital - all very cushy....

I've sent a couple of rants off to my solicitor, and see what they now do, as we've played it safe, and mitigated losses by going through the NHS...... no amount of good that did..........

I'm soo f'ing annoyed....could have had the shoulder 'decompressed' months ago, but the consultant can't be arsed - stick some steroid in and send him on his way (I refused it)... bit like sticking heavy oil in a rattly car....doesn't fix it....

NHS Consultants - two faced, playing the budget game..... if there is money in it for them.....

RANT OVER......... it's safe to come out again !
