The sharpness of the air and how still it can be sometimes.

I was cycling along about 10pm last night and because there was a wind blowing the large flakes of snow falling in the opposite direction about the same speed it looked like that silly effect on tv where snow stands still in mid air:biggrin:.

Snowball fights with about 200 kids outside the school when picking my son up.:biggrin::biggrin:

The dodgy looks you get from some mums when you plough there precious little Jeremy in the chops with a solid snowball is not so great.

Remembering that I had a full set of cross country skiing kit - and where I stored it 25 years ago!

Luckily it all still worked and I was able to swoosh along the pavements, round the lakes in Roundhay Park, and back home, a good six miles all told. Less clever was timing my return so that I came pinballing past the school gates just at chucking out time, because falling on your nose in front of a dozen 13 year old does leave you open to some banter.

You don't get sun burned.
Try going to a ski resort! When i came back from my 5 month season i had a solid goggle tan!

Those pics are awesome though, i saw a fox ambling around at around 1 am last night, obviously not worried about anyone coming along at that time. He obviously didn't know about the lock in at the local
