He doesn't need to be edited to be a source of amusement.

Did anyone see Have I Got News For You last night? They had a round with pictures of people in the news, very slightly disguised by having comedy dresses drawn over them. There was a pic of Griffin in front of that spitfire picture, and the panel all pretended they had no idea. So they removed the 'disguise' and they all continued to look blank and say "no, no idea who that is..." Nicely done I thought....

I was very impressed by that, they made the point very simply and forcefully.

LOL! That's genius. But as vernon says: he doesn't really need to be edited to be a source of amusement.

I listened to Question Time on Radio 5 and it struck me how much Nik Griffin sounds like Karl Pilkington of the Ricky Gervais podcasts. Are they related?

Edit makes the quite disturbing point that you can't trust the origin and honesty of anything that you see or hear anymore unless you are in the presence of the person saying it... not that I would want to ever want to listen to the odious man.

To be slightly serious for once in my life, though I find what I presume to be the views of the BNP odious, and while I suspect they have a gradualist agenda (i.e. make the party more people-friendly, then gradually bring in your real views) I was very disappointed by QT the other night. It would have been much better if they'd allowed say 1 question to let NG explain his party, then had the rest of the prog covering the usual range of questions and topics, letting him have his say alongside the others. I do believe he has as much right as any other politician to be invited onto the programme, but I wish it had been less of a stoning session (not for any sympathy with his views, but just because it would have made for a better programme, and less one to please the middle classes).

I have no time for Nick Griffin but it does make you wonder how many other times this type of editing has been carried out by those who want to influence our thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. The BBC did the right thing by upholding the man's democratic rights but shot themselves in the foot when they allowed it to turn into a massacre. They should have simply continued with the usual format; his stupidity would have been quite evident enough.
