Well, ok nightmare is probably too strong a word, but it certainly wasn't fun. Bugs and children don't mix, or should I say, unfortunately they do mix!
Our youngest, 9 months, is just going through a settling in period before my wife starts back at work next week (part time). Having two older brothers she has caught the odd bug, but nothing major. This week she had a wee stomach bug, that has meant she has been under the weather (awwww). She is on the mend, but still not 100%.
Things started 'hotting up' yesterday when I started feeling a bit crap, and as the day progressed it got a bit worse. However, with Halloween etc and three excited kids, I had to keep going, as you do. Pumpkins all sorted, the kids started arriving at the door, and our boys went out with their mum. Very busy (just new to the area), and all the kids were really well behaved and enjoying themselves. Brill. Just as shame I felt poop. But I kept smiling.
Kids a bit late back for bath etc, and we managed to ship them off to bed. I'm feeling really poop, by now. Proper D&V, except I'm always a bit strange with these. Never seem to have the sickness. My wife reckons I'm a horse.
Anyway, my wife is settling the youngest down, I am curled up on the sofa and......bleurgh! Not me, but from upstairs. The oldest boy. He went for the scattergun approach!!
I have to clean it up and sort him out, whilst feeling very poop! Get him sorted, wife gets youngest down to sleep, and when downstairs mentions that she is feeling out of sorts.....
To cut a long story, short...ish, wife and two boys are sick during the night (more than once). I feel very poorly throughout and very little sleep all round!

So off work today, still feeling week, and a bit sickly, as are the two boys and my wife. All this during the nursey settling in period and my wife starting work after maternity next week and me havng a very important meeting to prepare for for Thursday.
Ah the joys of parenthood!
