Mr Bojangles is a great song and there have been many great versions. I had not heard Nina Simone's version - bloody good!

Not long ago Eric Burden did a great documentary on the radio tracing the origins of that song.

Just looked for that on spotify and found her doing a version of Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues - amazing how one thing will lead to another. Got hours of exploration in front of me now.
