how do i know what size the nipples on my rims are?

gaint defy 3 - Giant Sport Road CR, Double Wall rims

looking to buy a spoke key to do a bit of truing...any recommendations?

sounds silly but go to bike shop and ask

Measure with calipers ?
One of the rarer tools in most home workshops - but gets a lot of use IME

Or take bike to LBS and ask them to sell you a suitable spoke-key ?
