I've always been a coffee drinker and recently decided to give up caffeine this was about 2 month ago and I think caffeine to me is like Samson's hair I'm sooo tired and drained its unbelievable I only really used to drink coffee at home (vending machines are yuk) but can't believe its effected me so much

I live for tea @home and coffee when out. Can't imagine giving either up, what made you stop?

I have a heart rhythm problem (atrial fibrillation) and caffeine is one of the things I am supposed to avoid. I was never a big tea or coffee drinker anyway, so it was no big deal for me. Maybe you are just suffering some sort of withdrawals?

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I love coffee. Dont like tea. I would go mad without my coffee, but if you do cut back then you can get withdrawal symptoms, headaches shaking all sorts of things. At least thats what my daughter says. Never tried it myself. Giving it up I mean.

I gave up caffeine years ago, never noticed any energy drop at all - I don't understand people who get all wound up about drinking a hot beverage. It's not very grown up is it? Probably all marketing and social norm conditioning if you ask me. But I suppose you didn't - Haha.

Never had health problems. Or problems getting pregnant, hign blood pressure, cardio vascular problems. I am one of those people who is very healthy. So unless or until I get any of those problems, I will carry on with my coffee. If we gave up everything that is supposed to be bad for us, we would be left with nothing to eat. This year coffee bad bad bad. Next year we have changed our mind. How many times have experts told us that this or that is bad, only to change they're mind. Each to his own. If you prefer not to have certain things, then thats great, for you. Good luck.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a preacher. I eat and drink all sorts of stuff that are supposedly bad for us, the odd dose of caffeine included. Someone did ask why would you give up coffee though. Plus I have never seen the attraction of having to constantly have a mug of tea/coffee in my hand.

It's the old story; everything in moderation!
