I have a heart rhythm problem (atrial fibrillation) and caffeine is one of the things I am supposed to avoid. I was never a big tea or coffee drinker anyway, so it was no big deal for me. Maybe you are just suffering some sort of withdrawals?
I had treatment for a heart condition called mahaim fibre tachycardia 2 years ago and I had the same advice about caffeine. I've been off it since then and found it hard initially to give it up but no problems nowadays

In fairness to me after my earlier dressing down, I don't drink a huge amount. I enjoy good, filter coffee, especially first thing but rarely drink more than 3cups per day.
Addicted, bad for my health? I couldn't care less, I've done, taken/ingested, and drank and inhaled much worse things than coffee in my time.
I'm not condoning this sort of behaviour (I lead a pretty dull life these days) but in the bigger scheme of things, coffee isn't really worth people getting on their high horse about.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Sorry, that did not make sense.

Boom! as in I woke up one day and could not move, my body just shut down and I could barely move for months. It was a few years ago and I'm fine now but stopped drinking caffeine (and changed other stuff as well). It was easy. But I also stopped smoking years ago as well from 40 a day to nil overnight and found that easy too.
well done
