I went out for a spin round one of my favourite local rides yesterday around East Hants and West Sussex; South Harting, N and E Marden, Stoughton, Compton (coffee and hot cross bun), Chalton, QECP, Petersfield. Nice ride apart from hordes of other cyclists including two groups of women cyclists, various couples and many single riders, all on a week day too. The cafe at Compton was packed out with cyclists. Just wondering who told all these people about this route, if it was you please desist as I want the roads to myself next time!

I know what you mean, and it's not just cyclists. To get our half distance pint of Boltmaker, our group often has to battle through crowds of people having Sunday lunch. Mother's day was absolute murder. What makes these people pick cycle stops as a place to eat?

Its disgusting, I'll tell you. They'd all want to cop on a bit.

Be thankful you don't live in Switzerland. The shops are shut on Sundays and the whole country goes out walking, cycling and generally filling up the countryside and the cafes just to fill the time.

Roadies everywhere today. Was pleasantly surprised to round a corner in the car and find a chapter of about 15 roadies coming my way, many on the wrong side of the road. I wouldn't mind them using the pleasant routes if their roadcraft wasn't so dire.
