I bought a Stages Shimano crank in 2016, my first introduction to power metres on my road bikes.
It was nice to have power readings for the first time but it did have problems that should have been ironed out before it was released.
The rapid battery drain when not using it was annoying, resulting in frequent battery replacements.
Secondly, the bluetooth range, should be good for 10 metres but often had connection problems when using it on my steel road bikes and not great on my carbon.
The alternatives now are far superior, I use Garmin pedals now, no such problems.
