And had good time to stop at the lights. Just sneeked in as an amber gambler rather than straight RLJ though that was more luck than judgement.

Luck is perhaps not a good word in this context.

We all make mistakes but as Lady B might say "2 in 10 secs is going some ..."

People that drive with one hand on the top of the wheel like that are retards - do they think they look cool or something? Fast and Furious in a tat box ftw!

Window was open, should have given a quick shout - tends to snap them out of their little world.

Or slam into the side of the car and dive through the window for comedy effect.

Or get off, open rear passenger door, climb through and get out the other side... WITH your bike!

Laughing my arse off. Reminds me. On my way home yesterday I took a nice down hill bypass road into Aberdare. I was doing 20+ off the roundabout. I needed to spit out a fly tyat had decided to live in my mouth as I did so a car decided to overtake me on the single lane whilst I was holding secondary. I hit the passenger window bang in the middle. Part of me wishes the window was down, but the rational part of me is glad that I didn't. The stretch of road in question is shown in the attached picture. The yellow line was my position.

LOL, thats the one of the good things about good weather windows tend to be down. On Tuesday night, nearing my destination I turn right into this estate. It nice and level and I'm always going a good speed there, looking at the Garmin I was doing 23mph when one woman overtakes me late, also to turn in to the estate, cest la vie. She was however followed by a speeding ned/ chav Corsa. Almost immediately they had to stop (typical estate with cars parked), he almost went into the back of her, I just shouted thanks, he looked rather . I was tempted to go through the window for comedy effect but left it at thanks

If you had been a few MPH faster!!!!

Chance'd be a fine thing!

Very common at this junction.

Indeed, have had similar-ish incidents in the past, but usually they'll creep out, then look and be all surprised and then stop. But I'm always wary and as soon as I saw him start to move I'd stopped pedalling and was ready to stop if he crossed the line.

All tempting options! I don't usually shout, I imagine the reaction would be rather unpredictable. I mean whether they'd stop dead or do something else which would potentially cause more problems... The only times I've shouted have been when I've thought I was definitely going to crash, the last one was when a scooter pulled out at 90 degrees from a line of stationary traffic into the bus lane where I was riding (with another cyclist to my left). I'd seen him, he'd seen me, eye contact made and then he pulled out at the last second. I thought I was about to T-bone him and involuntarily shouted the C word rather loud as we passed within a couple of inches of each other. He apologised profusely at the next set of lights but bloody hell, my heart was racing for the next half mile or so.

Anyway, have reported the Golf driver to Roadsafe so we'll see what happens...
